WWOOF LATIN AMERICA
Is a free Social Network for those interested in WWOOFing and
volunteering in Latin America. Here you can link to the websites of the
countries with WWOOF organizations in Latin America, and communicate
with fellow WWOOFers. To WWOOF in Latin America, you need to join the
WWOOF organization of each country you plan to visit, or join "WWOOF
Independents" for the countries without their own WWOOF organization.
Each country's WWOOF organization will either send you a list of farms
or give you access to the list on-line so you can then contact the
organic farms. Joining WWOOF Latin America is free and it does not give
you access to the farm lists of member countries, only to the Previews
of their lists. To get the farm lists you will need to join each
country's WWOOF organization. WWOOF Latin America is the website that
links to all the national WWOOF organizations in Latin America and lets
you communicate with fellow WWOOFers.
Welcome to WWOOF Latin America!
Farms listed in WWOOF organizations are part of a world-wide effort to
promote the concept of organic farming, sustainable agriculture and
responsible consumer habits. As part of this effort, host farms offer
WWOOF members the opportunity to learn by doing. Listed farms will host
WWOOF members free of charge. As a guest in a WWOOF farm your learning
experience is based on you participating in the daily chores of running
the farm. In doing so, you can learn a variety of techniques employed
by member farms including organic farming, Permaculture and
Biodynamics. In addition to learning about organic farming, you can
also learn about the local ecology and culture while getting to meet
fun and interesting people. Your daily chores at WWOOF farms may
include harvesting, preparing soil for planting, milking, cleaning
pens, digging trenches, maintaining fences and such; and generally
involve about 5 to 7 hours per day, 5 to 6 days per week. Each farm has
its own chores, rules and schedules. WWOOF organizations in Latin
America are affiliated to the International WWOOF Association
(wwoof and wwoofinternational) which promotes
environmentally friendly farming and consumer habits by helping bridge
the gap between consumers and environmentally-responsible farmers.
WWOOF organizations compile and publish for their members a list of
host farms in each country. Through their websites, you can contact the
farms which you wish to visit and make the necessary arrangements for
your stay.

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.

ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
